Helping Children Deal with Angry Feelings: Continuing Fred Rogers' Legacy

I want to express how thankful and appreciative I am for the early chlldhood information you share with your subscribers. I, in turn, share your website with my higher education classes. They too have found it to be an excellent source. Your recent article on anger, which shares Fred Rogers wisdom, compelled me to say thank you. Absolutely wonderful and very informative.

Regards,
Barb Dollar, M.Ed.

Thank you for this important newsletter! I’ve already forwarded it to our Prek Social Workers. I appreciate your choice of relevant issues and the wonderful resources to support further investigation and learning.

This article was very insightful. I have a few children in my class of four-year-olds that have difficulty controlling their anger outbursts. I have talks with them about using their words and have them tell how they feel. I had never really thought about using the activities suggested as a means to develop anger control. Thank you for your help.

Dear Editor,
Thank you for consistently interesting and though-provoking articles over the last few years that I have subscribed. I have frequently used them with my staff. Do you ever solicit articles for your quarterly newsletter? If so, I am interested in your guidelines. I have been a Teacher and Director in the Early Childhood field for the past 30+ years, have a community college credential in teaching early childhood subjects, am a published writer, conference presenter and a Director Mentor for the state of California. I am delighted that Community Playthings provides this type of resource as well as quality furnishings/equipment. We are fans of your company at our school!

Thank you so much for the great articles in the collage. They are very helpful to us. I'm a training and curriculum specialist in a military child care center and I gave the articles to the staff to read and write a short essay about what they got out of each article. I received the collage from a friend. Please keep sending these to me at my e-mail and I will continue to share them with others.

Children and Conflict

I thought this collage was great. It was also very timely for our center. We just finished a staff training day centered around "Children and Challenging Behaviors". The articles were a nice compliment to the information received in the training. We are looking forward to more of this type of information and resources on the various aspects of early childhood.

Excellent. Thank you.

I thought the article was right on target. I would like to add that it is so important to be consistent, firm and nurturing at the same time when working young children with behavior issues.

Thank you for the invaluable information in this month's collage! You were so right in so many ways--poor behavior is a call for help and so many times we as teachers are too focused on how it is effecting the 'group'. Thank you so very much for all your helpful insights. They are greatly appreciated!

Resources for Behavior in the Classroom

I really enjoy this link and even forwarded the information on to other professionals. We all get very busy in our daily duties and quick emails with links to professional resources make it easier to stay connected to a bigger community and expose us to what is happening beyond our desks.
Thanks!

I think your newsletter is great. I sit on an advisory panel for the Santa Barbara County Child Care Planning Council (California). I am wondering if we could include a link to your magazine on our website, or reprint any of those articles?
