What Kind of Place for Child Care in the 21st Century?

Great articles to share with prospective child care center owners/directors.
Thank you

I like the idea of everyone having a round table discussion about design. I've just been through this process, and the more people we brought in later on, the more confusion! We should have included architects and teachers from the outset.

This is great for future directors too. I'm handing out the articles to my classes later this fall, when I assign them the task of "planning" a new center.

Hi everyone,

As you know, Dana, Nick, Angus, Phil, etc.... we think a like!!!  I ONLY RECOMMEND YOUR PRODUCTS AT EVERY CHILD CARE! (I know you know that!)

The books you recommend are ALL GREAT and VERY IMPORTANT, (Of course, I have most of them! )

BUT, in my opinion, you should include other VERY IMPORTANT documents (Bibles of mine) ...ASTM 15.44, and 15.29, cribs, toys, etc., etc , NAEYC /Accreditation Documents,CPSC, The GSA Child Care Design Guide, National Health and Safety Peformance Standads Caring for our Children, Healthy for Life, Healthy Young Children, and ADA Laws, etc!! *Not in order of importance, they are all important!!!

Thanks for, I hope, considering the above recommendations.

Stay well,
Esther Grossman
