Making Paper Bag Trees

November 11, 2014

A great way to reuse brown paper bags—turn them back into trees!

This craft project is perfect for your preschool or kindergarten class and takes very little time, or materials, to prepare. Collect a brown paper bag (any size will work), scissors, and some scraps of colored paper, and you’re ready to begin.

Learn how to make Paper Bag Trees here.

With some creativity you can make the trees fit any season. Add snow (cotton balls) for winter, tissue paper blossoms for spring, green leaves and birds for summer, or colored leaves and red apples for autumn.  If you give your kids the basic idea and then let them add their personal touch of creativity, the results will be unpredictable and fun! What about a “Thankfulness Tree” for a Thanksgiving center piece?
